About

About Us

We are an organization devoted to preserving the history of the American Civil War, and in particular, Company F of the 20th Regiment Maine Volunteer Infantry. Our members actively recreate army and civilian life during this time. In addition, many members participate in battlefield reenactments and large military encampments in conjunction with other similar organizations. All of our members reenact in the first person. That means that we adopt the persona of a real member of Company F.

Authentic uniforms, equipment and weapons are used to produce realistic historic programs. Many members are active in first-person living history presentations, such as at schools around the state. In addition, the membership participates in numerous parades, historical demonstrations and regional historical events sponsored by other organizations.

Battle reenactments are usually sponsored by one of several large umbrella organizations which plan and coordinate the events. The Washington Civil War Association (WCWA) is the local group and others exist in Oregon, Nevada and California. Membership in the WCWA allows for our participation in reenactment events.
